New Yorker George Skelcher got the idea to make this leather purse from seeing people use the typical New York coffee cup to panhandle on the Bowery (and area in downtown New York which is known for its homeless shelters and flophouses).
The nicely made purse looks just like a crushed version of the real thing. Funny.
Part of the proceeds of each purse sold is donated to HELP USA, an organisation that has helped the homeless in that country since 1986.

I love my new coin purse and so do my friends. Not too sure about the price (bit expensive) but I guess that is what you pay for something different. The zipper can be a bit difficult to close.

Truly beautiful concept and design, and excellent quality construction (typical Remo product), but at AUD58 you'd have to be a really lucky beggar to afford one. I keep mine in the glove-box with the zip facing away. It just looks like a screwed-up paper cup. I should keep my pearls in it ...

The size of the purse is small coffee, not a grande -but saying that - it's a purse, people, not a coffee! The quality is absolutely top-notch, thick but tender leather and is such a clever clogs design I wish I wasn't giving this as a gift. I wish I was related to me and shopped at REMO...
